On May 2, 2024, the UBC Medical Alumni Association (MAA) welcomed the UBC medical community of alumni and residents to the inaugural UBC Medical Alumni Celebration & Awards 2024 at the UBC Medical Student & Alumni Centre (MSAC) Vancouver. Honoured guests celebrated the UBC MAA’s past year of change and evolution – inclusive membership for all UBC medical alumni past and future, creation of UBC Medical Alumni Adivsory Council and the UBC Medical Alumni Community Fund – and recognized departing UBC MAA Board Directors. The UBC MAA also presented awards to this year’s UBC MAA award recipients – Dr. Silke Appel-Cresswell, Valerie Mok, Alvin Qiu, and Dr. Adrian Yee – for their many contributions to the UBC medical community.
