UBC MAA Wellness Week | UBC Faculty of Medicine Alumni Engagement

UBC MAA Wellness Week is a weeklong opportunity for the UBC medical community to focus on their health and wellbeing wherever they are located. Taking care of and focusing on their own wellbeing is not only essential, but contributes to the overall provincial health care system.

Join UBC medical students, residents, and alumni for wellness contests with prizes and a organized hybrid wellness activity. Everyone can choose their own wellness goals, joined by friends and family, and take time to focus on their physical and mental health.

Recap of UBC MAA Wellness Week 2023

Over the course of one week, over 250 UBC MD students, residents, alumni, and UBC MAA members from all over BC, and even as far as Halifax, joined us for UBC Medical Alumni Association Wellness Week 2023, a hybrid opportunity to focus on health and wellbeing. We had students from all four years and from all four distributed sites, 18 resident specialties, and alumni from 33 MD class years and 20 different residency specialties.

Throughout the week, participants completed over 72 unique activities, including things you've never done before like seaplane riding, cow milking, and puppy yoga! Over 30 people also attended our first hybrid Yoga in the Courtyard event from the UBC Medical Student Alumni Centre Vancouver or online from home!
