MD’94 25th Anniversary Reunion

Dear MD Class of 1994,

The Silver Anniversary Award is given to a graduate of the 25th Anniversary class, who in the opinion of their classmates, has best demonstrated qualities in one or more of the following areas: leadership, research, teaching, clinical care, administration, or public service.

Please find below the names which have been brought forth by your class as nominees for the Silver Anniversary Award.

Dr. Emil Lee
In support of Dr. Lee’s leadership in the area of radiology through his involvement as Regional Medical Director of Medical Imaging for the Fraser Health Authority, Past President of the Canadian Association of Radiologists, and Past President of the British Columbia Radiological Society.

Dr. Charlene Lui
In support of Dr. Lui’s advocacy efforts for physicians and patients through her involvement in local, regional, and provincial collaborative and governance committees, leadership as founding Board Member and Board Chair of the Burnaby Division of Family Practice and leading to the implementation of Primary Care Networks in Burnaby, and dedication to medical education as a clinical instructor in the UBC Faculty of Medicine and continued teaching at Burnaby Hospital and Surrey Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Donna McLachlan
In support of Dr. McLachlan’s dedication to patient care while also being a role model to her patients through healthy living, service in the Canadian Armed Forces, commitment to medical education as a clinical instructor in the UBC Faculty of Medicine, and leadership in spearheading the St. Paul’s Maternity Care clinic. 

Please cast your vote through the online ballot or submit a paper ballot by January 31, 2020. The award recipient will be personally notified thereafter and an announcement will be made to the class.

The Silver Anniversary Award will be presented at the UBC Medical Alumni Association Annual General Meeting on May 28, 2020.
